The Machine Girl (片腕マシンガール) is a 2008 Japanese action/horror film written and directed by Noboru Iguchi about a young and average Japanese high school girl, Ami Hyuga (Minase Yashiro) whose life is destroyed when her family is killed by a Ninja-Yakuza family. Her hand cut off, she replaces it with various killing machines, and seeks revenge. Barely surviving, Ami escapes and seeks out shelter from two kindly garage mechanics. They take pity on her, fitting her with a high-powered machine gun where her arm used to be. She then teams up with the chainsaw-wielding mother of her brother's slain friend and together they unleash an unholy, non-stop killfest against the equally creative machinery (drill bra, flying guillotine) of their relentless ninja enemies. The film has been compared to Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror by critics.
The film plot is kind of dull and has no lead on it - more over it's just plain violent with blood being splash out like water hose and even so it's more like watching Grindhouse. What a spoof!I did give like 3 1/2 over 10. The movie is to hit Japan theatres in August 2008 but then the pirated is already out..
The film stars Minase Yashiro in the lead role as Ami and Asami in the role of Miki. It was released direct-to-video in the United States on June 3, 2008 and is currently scheduled for a theatrical release in Japan on August 2, 2008.
